My Studio

My studio is a former two car garage that has been walled in. I have installed a small gas heater in the ceiling that blows warmed air into the studio. I do many things here and have plans to do even more. Currently I paint in oils and make my own stretchers and panels. I also make my own frames. I do some woodworking, mostly things I make for myself. For instance I have made myself several outdoor easels. The last one I made works very well and I will share that with you on a future blog post. I have been learning to play the guitar and recently the desire to build one has been creeping into my idea box. I have an old abused learners guitar that I plan to rebuild using only the bent side panels. I will show you that in future post also.

Here is the front door to my studio. You can see a cut out of Daffy Duck my sister Debbie painted for me. You will see more of Daffy inside.

Here is a view of my easel without a painting on it. My Painting Table that holds my pallet and on the right a table and a computer screen that I view my photos and references with. You can see the guitar on the wall and a poster of the Man in Black. There are unfinished canvases on the floor to the left.
