Cash

I did a painting of Johnny Cash's Eyes. After I did the painting of Marilyn Monroe. I thought of other celebrities I would like to paint. As I was making some painting panels that were 11 by 4 inch wide. I thought they would be perfect for a series of Iconic eyes. And of course since I consider Johnny Cash an american Icon I decided to paint his first. It was hard to decide which era of his life to choose. I decided to choose one where he was aged but still vibrant. The color of the frame had to be Black. I have read several biographies of the "Man in Black" and am in awe of the kindness and love he had for everyone. I know he had a checkered past but his later life was filled with a generous respect for all people. Maybe the next set of eyes I paint should be Mohammad Ali's.
